FIVE LOCAL HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS

As Halloween lurks on the horizon and children are claiming their costumes, the time is now to indulge your sense of spooky adventure! Check out a couple of these local kid-friendly Halloween events and make this October 31 unforgettable for all the right reasons.

Howl-O-Ween at Great Wolf Lodge
Through October 31 

Get your kids dressed up in their Halloween finest for a night of ghost stories, trick-or-treating, a costume parade and a dance party. They’ll start their stay full of anticipation and end up with prizes and candy!

Treat Street at Stockyards
6 to 8PM, October 31

Trick-or-treat Stockyard style this year. Gather goodies from nearby shops and go for a hayride. This fun event also includes a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, games and prizes. 

The Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch
9AM to 7PM, through October 31

Nothing says “fall” like a good old-fashioned hayride. At this pumpkin patch, your children can explore a hay bale maze, play on inflatables, ride the Pumpkin Patch Train and much more! 

Scare on the Square in McKinney
4 to 6PM, October 31

Head to downtown McKinney for a fun interactive event complete with hundreds of little trick-or-treaters. Go on a ghost hunt while you gather goodies, plus don your best homemade costume and compete in the “Be Green on Halloween” costume contest.

Pumpkins on the Prairie in Frisco
9AM to 5PM, October 31

Run through a hay maze, jump around in a giant bounce house and go for a hayride. And, back by popular demand, the Great Pumpkin Launcher—a slingshot that hurls pumpkins into the sky. Kids love to watch the pumpkins go splat!
